Joymamma is 5 today!!

On 1 May 2012 I taught my very first HypnoBirthing couple, Michelle and Daniel. Since then I've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds more!!  Each couple I teach are prepared and excited for the birth of their baby and have their own unique experience and story to tell. I am a collector of stories and use many of them in my classes. This whole website actually started off from Michelle's birth story! 

I'm forever grateful to my mentor and teacher Marilyn Colvin Boon from www.thealternativecentre.com.au for getting me going (I needed a bit of a shove as teaching was new to me and confidence was low) and also to the whole HypnoBirthing International business community and Steering Committee Members who support me and help me grow and expand my business further.

From my humble beginnings teaching in my living room, hoping and praying the kids would be quiet as my husband worked away, to now having my own studio with full weekly yoga classes and HypnoBirthing courses. It's been a wonderful ride and I'm so thankful to all those who've trusted me to guide them on their journey.

Here is the very first birth story I received - from Michelle and Daniel. I remember receiving it whilst on a 4 day Yoga & Meditation Teaching Training Retreat at the Chenrezig Institute. She sent me a text to say "We had a baby boy born last night after only a 5 hour labour!  It was a truly wonderful experience." I was so excited and pumped which meant a very distracted meditation practice that morning!
