births

ada mae born at sunshine coast private hospital on 24 jan 2016

So we did it!

We welcomed little Ada Mae into the world on 24 Jan at 12:40 am. She weighed a tiny 2.88kg but somehow (despite our short genes) was 53cm long.

I was able to have my water birth and everything went tremendously. Christian was my rock and everything we learnt in our hypno birthing course was put to good use!

I'm not going to lie, her actual entrance into the world was extremely powerful and intense, but my body and Ada only needed 2 surges before she was born. To hold my baby girl in my arms after the birth is something I'll never forget and I feel so incredibly lucky and blessed that everything worked out just the way we planned.

Thank you so much for sharing your love and knowledge which made it all possible. Forever grateful! .

Katie
