On Nov 6th our beautiful baby girl Georgia Catherine arrived into our lives and completed our family 💙💙💜
Georgia was born 40 weeks + 12 days and weighed 8 pound 15. I was emotionally and physically exhausted by this point and after a week of trying to induce labour ourselves through relaxation, visualisation, love, daily walking, acupuncture, acupressure, etc we felt it was the right choice to be induced to help get things started. We were admitted into hosp on Sat 5th at 5pm and had a 'baloon catheter' inserted overnight to ripen my cervix. As I was having a VBAC this was a slow induction process that worked perfectly. We set up the birthing suite with music, pictures, our vaporizer and felt very much 'at home'. At 6am the midwife ruptured my membranes and labour progressed naturally from there. Ryan and I were able to achieve the extremely calm, relaxed drug-free birth we dreamed & prepared for. Thank you so much Carrie for all your wisdom and hypnobirth education, we truly believe this is what allowed us to calmly accept every part of our labour journey and breath our gorgeous daughter earthside.
