Starting labour naturally is preferred rather than medically inducing labour. There are many ways to try and accomplish this, hypnotherapy is one of them. Your baby will come when ready – what is most important is that you also feel ready so that your body relaxes and your baby feels the time is right.
It is known that fear and stress may prolong labour and make it more difficult. If you are tense or anxious your baby will want to wait until he or she feels safe to come out.
A hypnosis session is deeply relaxing, allowing your uterine muscles to relax, sending crucial messages to your nervous system that you feel safe and confident - then your hormones and body will respond and labour can start.
Hypnosis is most effective done in a private, in person session. You will be helped with fear release therapy which is an integral part of our session. Anxious Mums learn to let go of fears concerning their pregnancy, birthing, and parenting.
