On a physical level, yoga helps improve flexibility, posture, digestion and strengthens growing joints and connective tissue. Yoga improves sleep quality and the ability to relax.
Yoga stimulates both sides of the brain, imagination and provides tools for coping with stress. By increasing attention span, their alertness, memory and retention of information improves, helping them to build upon their current language skills. Regular classes provide an opportunity for reflection and teaches a child to switch off and relax the mind.
Yoga builds confidence, self esteem and acceptance, generating feelings of happiness, well being and peace. The practice teaches compassion and empathy for self and others, encourages patience and acceptance of all emotions. Our classes provide a space for safe self-expression.
